Comments: When it comes to notebooks, IBM thinkpads set the standard. The new A31 series uses the new Pentium 4 line of processors by Intel. This particular model is equiped with a near top of the line P4 1.9Ghz and 256mb of RAM. This allows the notebook to handle most tasks with ease. One of the key features of this notebook is its beautiful 15 inch screen. I would recommend that when getting a notebook, to look for one with a 15 inch screen as after you have bought one, you are generally stuck with it for about 3 years with minimal upgrade options. The ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 that drives the screen does an excellent job of rendering crisp, well saturated colours. The graphics chip uses 16mb of dedicated video RAM.
