Star Rating: Reviewer: April from Georgia Comments: Terrible service and technical support. It took me days and hours for them to try to fix my new computer. Each new tech support person seemed not to understand the problems or solutions. They put me on hold for long periods of time. After several problems were not fixed, I sent the computer back. They wanted me to send the computer to them for service where I would have to pay for shipping? Please!

I ordered my gateway computer and I had ordered an additional DVD/CD drive. Since the drive was not available at the time of purchase, I was told that they would mail me the drive and I could bring it back to the Gateway Service Department and they would install the drive for free. Needless to say that when the drive arrived, Gateway closed all of their stores and I was unable to take the computer in to get serviced...

Star Rating: Reviewer: Virginia Douglas from Illinois Comments: I called today to speak to someone about the Gateway 300SE that I saw on the Internet. It listed this product at $599.00 after an instant rebate of $100.00. The person I talked with told me that they did not have any specials like this one and he assured me that he was looking on the internet, and that this is what he does (enters promotions). I was on the internet and saw this item and then I got off the internet to call to inquire about the item. I told him I would call him back when I found the item so that he could find it also. Needless to say, when I went back in to find this item it was not there. I think it stinks that people have to be so dishonest. Now, if the item was no longer a bargain and someone left it in there by mistake, I would understand, but don't just tell me it was not there when I had just looked it up, and then change it in the system. This is very unprofessional and has cost Gateway a potential customer.
